That's right little blog babies, it's zombie monday. And lord do I have a goodie for you today. If I believed in a hell, i'd think there was a small chance I'd be going there for watching this one. But I don't. So here we go!
This weeks zombie movie is called Retardead. (yes, i know it's terrrible)
This little gem is about an evil doctor who decides to experiment on a special needs class. Yep. You heard me. The doctor is injecting them all with a hyper intelligence serum, and of course it turns them into zombies. There really isn't much plot to this. (is there ever?) But I have to say this one had me laughing from the first minute to the last. It's terrible in all the right ways. Even the fake previews, and the song during the credits made me laugh.
Now in case you forgot, I rate on a scale up to 5 on 4 different topics, and then give an overall score up to five. I've also decided to include my favorite line in the movie. K?
Gore: This one did not disappoint. It was a low budget gory mess. Awesome. I'm giving it a 4 for lots of fake looking zombie head explosions, and the use of chicken skin as human skin.
Boobies/Sex: No real boobies in this one, though there was a fake nipple. And there was also a scene with a bunch of tempting lady zombies doing a hot lady zombie dance.
Creativity in zombie killing/violence: Not a ton of creativity actually used, though there was suggestion for arming themselves with scorpions, and a guillotine. They did have a gun that shot acid. Oh, and did I mention lots of low budget zombie head explosions?
Level of creepy/Icky feeling left over: I laughed way to hard to feel to creeped out, or Icky. But I'm going to give it a 1 just because i probably should feel way worse about watching a movie about special needs zombies.
Overall, I'm going to give this one a 3. I was genuinely entertained. Watch it. And listen to the song at the end. I pretty much sums it up.
There were way, way, way too many amazing lines in this one to pick just one. So instead, I will leave you with the tagline on the cover:
"they're not so special anymore."
